From our home on the edge of the Oregon wilderness, we normally conduct a number of business and artistic endeavours. Here we present the primary three. Please be advised, however, that we are on indefinite hiatus, owing to illnesses of two of the three of us, How long this all this will take to resolve itself is way above our collective paygrade, but we press on.
Three Leos Publishing
We are a deliberately small publishing house, dedicated to making the world
a more interesting place, one book at a time.
This aspect of our life, along with the others, is currently on hiatus. We are using
this unavoidable downtime to do rewrites on the majority of our books. Once
we are back on an even keel, we will be offering a limited list of titles.
We are planning to have Three Leos Publishing back in business by the latter
seasons
of 2009, assuming everyone is functional by that time....to a given value of
"functional" of course.
Lydia's World of Dolls, Dragons, and Diverse Delights
This aspect may be the first of the primary three to get up and running, albeit at a much reduced pace, in the late Spring of 2009 (subject to the whims of fortune). Lydia has completed chemotherapy, with excellent results, but is still getting her strength back, and has been quietly going through her fabric stash, so prospects are good.
As before, the product line for this aspect will concentrate on Lydia's unique designs and will include --
Porcelain Dolls in unique costumes.
These are Lydia's hand crafted creations on the
porcelain bodies we found to replace the poured/cleaned/painted/fired ones that
had kept the prices far too high in the past. So now you can buy a quality doll
for play or to display for little more than you would expect to pay for
mass-produced plastic.
Soft Body Dolls of differing sizes and designs. Dolls to display, dolls for
play, dolls you can wear, dolls for your hair, big ones, small ones, some as big
as ..... sorry, got carried away.
Fairies of Many Sorts, made from a variety of materials.
Teddy Dragons: the cuddly stage of dragonish development. Your new best
friend, or baby's first dragon, or anything in between.
Oyster Shell Art. The art is on the oyster shell.
Glass-and-Paper Art. The art IS the glass and paper.
There will be more, knowing Lydia, so we would suggest
you return on the odd occasion. You never know what you might find.
Psalt of the Earth
In normal times, we produce psalteries of various description, to include:
Plankharps,
Spirit Harps, Trapezoidal Psalteries, and a winged Psaltery that looks and
functions much like a Kantele.
Lyres of various designs, and anything else that comes to mind (often as a
one-off item) in that nature.
We also make Glastonbury Drums (think Cajon Drum meets bodhran, and/or variants of both), as
well as
Clappersticks,
Box Shakers, and are planning (I know, we never learn) starting a line in obscure board games.
At the moment, not so much.
But we travel in hope, so.......
We are planning (there's that word again) to have most Psalt of the Earth products available
by the final months of 2009. If everything goes well, we may even have a few
items available in late Spring or early Summer.
Again, we are out of pocket until some time in 2009. We apologize for this, and we look forward to reopening the site(s), as well as being back on the art/craft show and Renn Faire circuits shortly thereafter.
People who make money knowing about these things assure me I need to repeat this blindingly obvious datum. Personally, I think it's assuming you can't read very well, but who am I, a poor humble boy from the sticks, to disagree?
